The Right Tools for the Job

SparkLight Media’s on set data station is an all-in-one dual laptop system designed to offer redundant on set backup and playback. While one laptop duplicates media to a shared RAID, the second laptop can playback or transcode footage.


The on set data station is powered by an uninterruptible power supply that can keep the system running for 20 minutes when power is disconnected.

Supported Media: Compact Flash, P2, SxS, and RED Drive/Ram.

The on set data station is equipped with a Maxx Digital Mobile Rocket for full debayer 2K playback of R3D raw files. The Mobile Rocket also accelerates transcoding to ProRes or H.264 for dailies or offline editing. H.264 files are compatible with iPhone and iPad for portable on set playback of dailies.
